Raghavendra Badaskar – Manager, Intellecap

Raghavendra is a manager at Intellecap, where he is currently involved in the design and piloting of a virtual incubation platform for social enterprises. He has worked with small and medium enterprises across multiple sectors on strategy design, project feasibility analysis, financial valuation, and fund raising. He has also worked on debt and operations restructuring strategies for large private and public enterprises in India. Raghav recently worked with the IFC to identify challenges to participation of commercial banks in financing MSMEs in India. He also has experience working with corporates in developing roll-out strategy, impact assessment and market analysis for low income markets.

He also has experience of working with agriculture centric inclusive businesses on aspects such as scaling-up, new product deployment and fund design. His clients in agriculture and value chains include, HIVOS, DFID and Tata Consultancy Services. In a project funded by HIVOS, he evaluated the financing needs of agri-producer based organization and developed a design for a debt-fund. In an on-going project, he is part of a team that is developing a strategy to commercially and sustainably deploy a mobile-based information product for farmers in India. In addition, he has worked in the areas of water and sanitation and inclusive business.

Prior to joining Intellecap, Raghavendra worked with ICRA Management Consulting Services (IMaCS), where he successfully completed numerous strategy consulting assignments across diverse industries.  He holds a Post graduate Diploma in Management from the T. A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal.
