Hitting the Sweet Spot

Hitting the Sweet Spot

NASE’s session on Finding the Right Investor |

A large part of a social entrepreneurs’ life is spent in looking for the right investor, one who believes in their cause, one who has a good grasp of market opportunities, and one who does not push them to compromise their mission in pursuit of numbers! As more investors look to invest in social businesses and the sector experiences a growth of innovative financing approaches – there is an undeniable commitment from both sides, but ‘are we hitting the sweet spot?’

Are the investors and entrepreneurs talking the same language, and sharing the same sense of purpose? If not, how do entrepreneurs get the investors (an important stakeholder to say the least) excited about a little more than just ‘Return on Investment’.

This session aims to understand what it takes to build a supportive ecosystem, and explore collaboration between RE and other developmental areas.
