Sachin Joshi – Director, CII ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development

Sachin Joshi began his career as a strategist in advertising after gaining an MBA and an Honours degree in Mathematics. Since then, he has acquired over 13 years of experience in sustainability strategy and business model innovation. He has developed the Value Innovation framework and created the world’s first Corporate Sustainability Label.  He advocates transformational approaches for businesses to truly become sustainable.

Besides this, he also steers internationalization of the Centre’s work on Sustainable and Inclusive Innovation, business model innovation and Green Procurement. Sachin mentors social enterprises and is currently a Board member of a social enterprise in rural distribution of basic needs, mentoring a social entrepreneur as part of Santa Clara University’s Global Social Benefit Incubator online programme, and is helping an enterprise in setting up an incubation Centre in India. He has published many reports and articles, trained and mentored managers and entrepreneurs, and advised for-profit and not-for-profit organizations on sustainability and innovation.
