Sushil Ramola – MD & CEO, B-ABLE


Sushil Ramola is a social entrepreneur, co-founder and currently MD and CEO of B-ABLE (BASIX Academy for Building Lifelong Employability Ltd.), which was set up in 2009 in partnership with BASIX, the pioneering microfinance and livelihood promotion company in India. With a mission to provide skills and meaningful livelihood opportunities to 1 million less educated and under-skilled youth in the next decade, B-ABLE was the first to partner with NSDC. It has over 85 skill development centres in 16 states of India and has already trained about 30,000 youth.

Sushil Ramola has over 34 years’ experience in leading innovation and performance driven business organizations in India and abroad in both industry and service sectors. He is a former President and CEO of SRF Limited, a Deming Prize winning company.

He has been on the board of international companies and on the National Committees of CII in the past.  He also has experience of engaging with society and is an active member of the board of several well-known NGOs such as Central Himalayan Environment Association (CHEA), SRF Foundation and Blind Relief Association. For the last 15 years, he has also been guiding The Shri Ram Schools, rated amongst the best schools in India.

Sushil Ramola is a chemical engineer and an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus.
